Artist Statement

The world is increasingly marked by uncertainty and chaos. In response, I find myself on a continuous search for harmony, balance and moments of tranquility. Nature, especially in it's untouched forms, offers a profound sense of equilibrium. This draws me to regions in Northern BC where land and waters exude a quiet yet powerful presence. The coastlines and skies of BC hold particularly expressive, ethereal attributes, speaking through patterns, rhythms and colour. My experiences in these regions have been meditative, shaping my intuitive, creative process. Through painting with acrylics, primarily, I strive to evoke a sense of unity, peace and connection with the natural world.
