My working
method for commissions
After making contact with me for a commission
here is the way things go.
For me
communication is very important to ensure that you get
exactly what you
want. I want each client who commissions a work
to have input into the piece. Unlike my studio
works these pieces are a collaboration with you
having a say in the creative process. At the end
of it all you not only have a wonderful piece of
art for your wall but also an insight into how
the process happens.
We will work with a selection of reference
photos and decide on the best one for the
artwork.
At this stage I require a 20% non refundable
deposit to begin the work. I will arrange a
tonal sketch for approval before moving on to
the major work.
As the commission takes shape you will
receive constant email updates at each stage of
the process. This allows us to make any small
adjustments necessary throughout the creative
process.
Upon completion of the artwork you will be
invited to have a viewing to
discuss the outcome and framing choices. It is
at this time that the balance is paid.
A week later the framed work will be ready
for collection or shipping.
Shortly after it will be proudly displayed on
your wall for your ongoing enjoyment.
Turnaround on commissions,
varies from 3 to 12 weeks from the date
commencement, depending upon the size and
complexity of the project.
